August 2015 Glossybox

Last month's Glossybox was a good'n so I had high expectations for this month's box which arrived a couple of weeks ago. I've had time to go through my box and let you know what I think of all the products. This month's box celebrates the fact Glossybox are now available in ten countries.

I'm pretty happy with the box, I just wish we could have experienced some different brands rather than ones that have been featured in the box this year already.

Emite Artist Colour Powder Blush – Full Size £20.59
This blush/bronzer hybrid was voted by us. When swatching this product it crumbled away and I was worried that I would pick too much up on my brush. I found that swirling my brush onto the product and tapping off the excess left just the right amount of product to sweep across my cheeks and leave a nice glow. This product definitely looks good for summer makeup as it does give you that summer glow and light contour. There is no way I would pay over £20 for this though, I am sure there are a lot cheaper alternatives on the highstreet that do as good a job.

Naobay Calming Face Toner – Full Size £10.65
I’ve reviewed a Naobay product on my blog before which I also received from Glossybox. I love the packaging on these products and the wooden lid makes them feel really luxurious. What I love about this toner is that it doesn’t have much of a scent as I am not a fan of highly perfumed toners. This removes trace makeup when applied with a cotton pad and is 99.13% natural so I am happy using this on my face every day.

SASS Purifying Cleanser – Full Size £7.00
This is the second SASS product I have received from Glossybox and not a product I have ever thought to buy. This intimate cleanser aims to balance your skins PH levels. I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a difference but it is nice to feel fresh ‘down there’ if you know what I mean.

MeMeMe Lipglide in Playful Peach – Full Size £6.95
When I first saw this lipglide I thought it was going to be a bit bright for me, but the colour pay off on the lips is really nice and subtle. This product is hydrating but it doesn’t last long on the lips especially when eating soon after applying this. It is a lovely colour and a great addition to any handbag.

Manna Kadar Lash Primer – Full Size £14.55
I love this product. I have never owned a lash primer before and this fulfils everything that I would want in a lash primer. Manna Kada is not a brand I have ever heard of before. I’ve been layering this under my normal mascara and I’ve found my lashes feel hydrated. I am no longer left with black dried mascara flecks under my eyes which is a bonus for me. This primer contains vitamin B12 which leaves your lashes conditioned and voluminous and I can vouch that this product does just that.

January 2015 Glossybox

It's that time again! I received my Glossybox just over a week ago now so I've had time to trial all of the products and let you know what I think. Please let me know what you got in your boxes, I love reading other people's Glossybox reviews!

Naked Lips

Naked Lips - Organic Lip Balm Superfruits - Full Size €5
This lip balm is 100% natural and is really fruity. The 'flavour' I received was Blueberry, acai, goji, baobab and pomegranate. This really does leave my lips feeling nourished and gives them a light glossy sheen. I have millions of lip balms and usually just use Vaseline but I think I will switch to this one because I love how it tastes, it reminds me of summer and cocktails!

Nicka K Blush Review

Nicka K New York - Colorluxe Powder Blush - Full Sized €8.95
I received this blush in the colour Romantic which is a really soft pink colour. The idea of this packaging is to stop powder explosions at the bottom of your handbag. When I opened this it went everywhere, the puff kind of exploded. That's when I realised that you're only supposed to take off the gold lid, not the whole thing..oops! I really like the colour of this and it applied really well and really makes your eyes pop. This is great value for the amount of product you get too.

Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow

Jelly Pong Pong - All Over Glow - Full  Size £10 (15g)
I really like the packaging on this product, the design is eye catching. When I first tried this product I put way too much on, you really do only need the tiniest of blobs. The colour of this is extremely shimmery and I wouldn't necessarily recommend this for day to day use but for a night out this is going to be perfect. It especially looks nice when the light hits it, great for cheekbones and even on the body on your collarbones I think this would work well. Oh, and this stays put for AGES.

MeMeMe Clay Eyeliner

MeMeMe Eye Line Pencil in Clay - Full Size £4
This pencil is actually really nice to use despite it not being a colour I would usually pick up. It smudges really nicely and seems to stay put on the waterline for quite some time. It makes a nice change from a black eyeliner and I find myself using this and creating a brown smoky eye day to day.

Kueshi Face Toner Review

Kueshi Natural and Pleasant Cosmetics - Revitalizing Face Toner - Full Size €10.70
I've never really used a toner before so I was looking forward to trying this out. The colour intrigued me, it looks like it's going to smell a bit chemically but it's made with natural ingredients. I can't describe what this smells like but it is quite strong and I usually prefer to use unscented products on my face. I can't say I noticed much of a difference in my skin but I really like how refreshing it is and it wakes me up in the morning so I will continue to use this until it has ran out.

Great box Glossybox, I think I'll use all of these items.
