My Purrfect Gift Box - 2 Year Anniversary!*

Can you believe it has been 2 years since I first reviewed My Purrfect Gift Box on my blog? Me neither! When I was contacted to review a box as a little Birthday/Anniversary review, I jumped at the chance. I (and Biscuit) used to love receiving this box each month and if it wasn't for the fact we are saving every spare penny for our wedding, I would have carried on with my subscription.

The best thing about this box is you don't even need to have a cat to sign up, as the cat treats are an additional option so purely being a cat lover is enough! This month's box had a Spring Theme and was packed with loads of amazing items.

The first item I opened was this gorgeous necklace, designed by USA artist Krista Smith.  The folk inspired cat art is unique and this cat with flowers design is perfect for Spring. I love the simple black cord too, it adds a touch of class to any outfit and goes with everything. She has a lot of other art and cat prints over on her etsy and I have my eye on some of the ginger cat items. This necklace retails at £18.99.

You cam never have too many coasters and I adore these spring inspired floral cat designed ones by Kim Haskin retailing at £16.99. I love how cute and fluffy the cats look and each cat has a name too which I think is adorable! These coasters are good quality and will brighten up my room a treat. She is based in the UK but ships internationally if you are interested in seeing more of her work.

I love these watercolour stickers from Thailand artist Pennapa Yodhor. The spring colours compliment each other well and I think they will really brighten up my planner this month. These retail at £4.50 and can be found on etsy amongst lots of other designs.

This ceramic kitty planter is the ideal addition to my home as a cat and plant lover. The planter is ideal for a succulent or small flower, and I can't wait to look for something permanent to sit inside of it. It even comes with its own drip tray to keep surfaces clean and tidy. I really love it and think other cat lovers will too. This retails for £12.99.

I have been looking for a little pocket mirror for my makeup bag and this generous sized one featuring Ella Goodwin's Flower Antlers Kitty illustration is perfect for Spring and beyond. This retails at £5.50, you can check out her website here.

The first cat themed item in the box was this handmade 'fiori' (flowers in Italian) toy made by AmiCatToys. I can see why the flowers were chosen for this box as it fits in with the Spring theme perfectly. This colourful toy comes complete with a few jangly bits which immediately got Biscuit's attention.

The second cat item was VitaKraft's cat grass kit. It's a premium seed mix which is ready prepared, a bit like cress. I had to punch some holes into it, add the seeds, mix the soil and then add water. It takes about 3-4 days to start sprouting and I will let you know over on Instagram how I get on with it! It is quite a good thing to have as it can encourage cats to help cough up their hairballs, and I know my fluffy cat gets a lot of those!

I love how adorable this catnip cupcake is from etsy shop Little Miss Delicious. They have a lot of cute food themed jewellery, accessories and home decor that looks good enough to eat. I seriously love the pizza themed goodies they do. Biscuit is sure to enjoy this, and it looks adorable in my home. The cat gifts retail at £16.99 for all three products.

Head over to My Purrfect Gift Box for more information or to see previous boxes. This box including cat goodies is only £39.95 including UK delivery, but if you son't have a cat and would rather skip those items it's just £31.95! You can also make one time purchases which make great gifts. What are you waiting for?

Animalbox Purrfectbox Review*

I love receiving gifts and gift boxes for my pets so when the Purrfectbox arrived on my doorstep packed with goodies for Biscuit, I couldn’t wait to open it and share some fabulous new goodies with him. If you haven’t heard of Purrfectbox or Pawsomebox and you’re a pet lover then you really are missing out. These boxes are monthly arrangements of 5-6 specially selected goodies for your furry friends. From only £14.90 depending on the length of subscription, the boxes are delivered straight to your door and can contain products worth over £40.

To get started with either a Pawsomebox for your dog or a Purrfectbox for your cat it couldn’t be simpler. Head over to their website and choose the appropriate offer from 1 month – 1 year. Log in to either your Pawsomebox or Purrfectbox account and fill in your pets details. This enables them to choose appropriate gifts depending on your pet. For every 2 boxes that they deliver, £1 is given to a local animal organisation which I think is a really nice gesture.

This month’s box contained some lovely items which I will definitely get some use of. Firstly this lovely paw print soft blanket that you can see in the background of the photos. This is just the right size for Biscuit and it fits in his bed. I have currently laid it at the bottom of my bed where he sleeps so hopefully he will start to use it. We then received these Gim Cat Shiny Cat Filet pouches. One is chicken and papaya flavoured, the other is tuna with crab. I usually just buy supermarket cat food so Biscuit loves it when he gets to try new flavours and brands. These went down a treat and were eaten within minutes, I guess that’s a thumbs up from him!

This toy from Tyrol is an interesting one and if I am honesty I am not sure what animal it is supposed to represent, I am going to say a hippo. This soft toy is filled with catnip and was well received. When I put all of biscuits toys in a pile he went for this one, probably because the catnip smell was still quite fragrant compared to his other toys.

I thought these chicken cubes looked really interesting when I opened the box. This cat snack is made from real chicken meat and is low in fat. The cubes are quite firm and Biscuit did have a bit of trouble eating them as he hasn’t quite got all of his teeth so I have only been giving him one of these at a time to save his jaw! He seems to really like them though and soon comes running over when he hears the bag rustling. It is also worth mentioning that each box comes with a magazine and this month’s edition was filled with fun facts and information. There was even a recipe inside on how to make your own cat treats so I will be giving that a try so Biscuit can try some really natural flavours.

This mouse from the brand Trixie is filled with catnip and also has a little bell in the middle. The outside is sort of a rope material and is nice and scratchy to the touch which is something Biscuit loves to get his claws into. The mouse has a string for a tail so it’s fun to dangle this in front of the cat and watch them try and bat it with their paws. It’s a good quality toy and I can see this being a firm favourite in our household.

These Healthy Centres Roast Chicken Flavoured Bites are a good source of Omega 3. The cream filled bites are wheat and soya free. Each bag contains 29 servings and it tells you how much to give your cat on the back. Biscuit loved these little treats.

My favourite item in this box was this gorgeous Tabby Chic catnip mouse. The toy is supposed to be in a shabby chic design and I think it looks really modern and love the design. Biscuit liked it too which is always a bonus.

What do you think of this box? Will you be treating your fur babies?

My Purrfect Gift Box - Winter Wonderland*

The Christmas edition of My Purrfect Gift Box arrived a few days before Santa did and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside. Immediately upon opening the box, I spotted the lovely winter themed wrapping paper and it was packed with goodies for both me and Biscuit.

First up was a gift for Biscuit in the form of this Gingerbread Man  from 4cats which had a very strong catnip smell and went down an absolute TREAT with Biscuit. He could not get enough of this and it is also the reason for my 3am wake-up calls when I can hear him playing with this in the next room.

Next us is this adorable handmade woolen kitten charm, available on Etsy. Not only can you pop this on your Christmas tree, you can also attach to your handbag or phone. At only £4 each I think it is lovely and there are plenty of other designs on the owners shop including some super cute ginger cat themed items which I need in my life. They even have a personalised service so you can send them a photo of your cat and they'll create a design just for you.

I was so happy when I saw this beautiful necklace, it's so perfect! This sterling silver necklace has been customised with a snowflake which is perfect for this season and I think all cat lovers need one in there life. This retails at £15 and can be bought on the Purrfect Giftbox shop.

This cat shelf sitter (for humans only!) is beautifully made and adorned with red snowflake print. I loved having this out over the festive period and it added something different to the usual decorations you see on display at Christmas. Designed by Rose Cottage Pillows.

I then opened another gift for biscuit in the form of this snowflake cat collar from Cool Cat Collars. It's of really good quality and a soft but sturdy material meaning your cat won't be irritated by wearing it. I tried to take a photo with Biscuit wearing the collar but he is too fluffy to see it. The website has a lot of other great designs too if you're looking for something a bit more fun and exciting.

I am in love with the knitted cat ear beanie, such a unique product and I think it’s adorable. I will be getting my wear out of this during the winter, it’s incredibly soft and miraculously does not seem to give me hat hair after wearing it. This hat retails for £13 over on the Purrfect Gift Box Shop.

I love receiving new brands of food to try for Biscuit because he can sometimes go off his usual brand and it's nice to get him something different for a change. This Meowing Heads food was gobbled down a treat so I assume that means it was well liked, I however did not try it for myself!

Last but not least, I love the hipster design on these blank cards.  I was lucky enough to receive a pack of three and they turned out perfect for thank you cards after Christmas. Find this and other designs over on Etsy, retailing for £12 with shipping from the USA.

Once again I am in love with My Purrfect Box. Between me and Biscuit we are incredibly happy and will be sure to enjoy the cold winter with all of these treats. Thank you so much My Purrfect Gift Box for a lovely box. My Purrfect Gift Box offer a number of subscription options, which start at just £20.95. If you’d like to sign up for your own box, head over to the My Purrfect Gift Box website or head to their shop for the chance to buy some of the items featured in this box and previous boxes.

My Purrfect Gift Box - November*

My Purrfect Gift Box  is my favourite cat subscription box out there and after not receiving it for a month I was so excited to see what I had been missing out on for the November box. This month’s theme was all about relaxing, just what I needed during the stresses of the festive season. When you buy this box a portion of the subscription costs goes to support UK cat charities, rescue centres and animal shelters. So while you are giving to yourself, know you are giving to the cats that need us across the UK.

One way to really relax and de-stress is to use a colouring book. This one contains 70 detachable pages filled with plenty of cat designs and patterns. I made a start one one of the pages recently and it’s amazing how your mind completely switches off and all of your worries are forgotten whilst colouring in. it really is the ultimate way to relax if you have a bit of spare time and I find it calms me down more so than if I was to switch on the TV or the IPad. This product retails at £7.99, worth every penny.

To go with the colouring book we received this super cute handmade pencil case packed with coloured pencils. Etsy seller Zookaboo retails similar cases for £15.00. the case can also be used for make-up or to store other bits and bobs in your handbag. The cat pattern is absolutely stunning!

One of the cat gifts this month was this huge Kong Kickeroo and three bamboo balls. This aims to help cats vent their frustrations, which definitely distracted Biscuit from ruining the Christmas tree so I was very grateful for this item! It intends to promote exercise in the cat which is something Biscuit needs help with. He seemed to take a liking to this toy straight away so is definitely a winner in my eyes!

We received this Lavender Pillow with cat design, filled with dried French lavender. This smells lovely and I have popped it in the top drawer of my bedside table so when I put away my items and go to bed, I can smell it which instantly relaxes me. Available from Etsy retailing at £5.50.

One of my favourite items in this month’s box is the Nancy&Nell handmade plum and rhubarb candle with cute personalised cat themed lid. The scent on this is absolutely gorgeous and I love that it’s purple to match the box, and my newly decorated bedroom! They sell similar products at about £12.99.

Lastly I received the Green&Wilds 100% natural cat treats in Salmon. These are Biscuit’s absolute favourite treats. I think they smell a bit like fish food but the cats can’t get enough. I’ve even been woken up in the middle of the night by Biscuit wanting these treats because I have left them in his view!

My Purrfect Gift Box Review - September*

My Purrfect Gift Box  is my favourite cat subscription box out there and it seems to get better and better every month. This month’s theme was absolutely spot on and being all about tea, one of my favourite things in life, I was extremely pleased with the box. There seemed to be so many items in this month’s box and each and every one of them is something I (or Biscuit) will use. When you buy this box a portion of the subscription costs goes to support UK cat charities, rescue centres and animal shelters. So while you are giving to yourself, know you are giving to the cats that need us across the UK.

These handmade catnip sweets are from Tillypops, who also made Biscuit’s spotted blanket from a previous box. I think they are absolutely adorable and even come in a candy striped pick n mix style bag. Biscuit loved playing with these, he could smell the catnip right away! Available on their website.

Biscuit’s favourite item from these gift boxes so far has been his catnip fish from FreakMEOWt so when I saw another product from them in my box I knew this was going to be a winner, and I wasn’t wrong. This ‘teabag’ is infused with catnip and Biscuit loved it. I’ve been looking on their twitter page and I think they’re bringing out Christmas cat treats so I’ll definitely be picking one of those up for Biscuit this year.

I was intrigued when I saw this Kit-Tea catnip tea but thankfully it is for cats and not humans! These catnip teabags from Paw and Gnaw can be brewed and then used to make your own catnip sprays. You can also serve this in a bowl for your cat. I haven’t tried this yet as Biscuit has plenty of catnip goodies to play with but I will definitely be brewing this up and giving his toys a spray when the effects start to wear off. These teabags can even be dried out and reused – brilliant!

This mug is a My Purrfect Gift Box exclusive and comes adorned with the text “You are my cup of tea” and a cute little cat! This little cat will brighten any dreary morning, stick the kettle on and relax with your favourite brew. This mug retails at £11.99 and can be found on the online shop.

This has to be the most adorable item I have ever received! These handmade hanging cat tea bag holders fit right on the edge of your mug and can keep your teabag string in place. I love that I received a little ginger one, just like Biscuit! These retail for £9.50 and can be bought on Etsy shop MiniHandsCrafts.

These Cat head Shaped Tea bags have been made by LoJim in Spain and retail at £5.99 in her Etsy store. I received a honey tea and a saffron tea and admittedly I have already drank both mugs. The flavours are lovely and warming and teamed with the hanging cat, my mug and a biscuit made the perfect treat.

This gorgeous scented melt from Paw Melts is handmade and uses only natural and organic ingredients. The paw shape is said to symbolise the bond between owner and pet – how sweet! These retail at £18.50 for 9 and smell amazing. It also came in the most amazing packaging! I think these would make a great gift for any pet owner.

When I saw these Biscuits in my box I thought they were the most adorable things ever and I didn’t want to eat them! Of course for the purposes of a review I had to try them out and they were absolutely delicious. I think they’d make such a lovely gift for someone, I wish I was skilled enough to make something like these. These biscuits are made here in the UK by Nila Holden and you can find these cute biscuits and more on Not On The High Street retailing at around £6-10.

Thank you so much My Purrfect Gift Box for another amazing box. I think this has been my favourite one yet. If you’d like to sign up for your own box, head over to the My Purrfect Gift Box website or head to their shop for the chance to buy some of the items featured in this box and previous boxes. I think some of these gifts would make perfect stocking fillers and it’s never too early to start buying those!
