Skincere Cream Cleanser Review*

I love cleansing and usually stay true to my Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser but when I was given the chance to try out the Skincere Cream Cleanser, available at Holland and Barrett, I couldn’t wait to vary my routine.

The Skincere Cream Cleanser is 100% natural. It is ideal for daily use and is great for my sensitive skin and all other skin types. The product is free from wheat, sulphites, nuts, egg, alcohol, milk, gluten and so many more items that could be classed as allergens. I have been massaging this into my dry face and neck each morning and night then rinsing off with warm water and a muslin cloth for the past 3 weeks now and I have really noticed a change in my skin. Even after just a few uses, my boyfriend noticed how soft my skin is and couldn’t stop touching my face which was slightly bizarre. I put it down to using the Skincere Cream Cleanser as I have not added anything else to my skincare routine.

My skin tone seems more even and I have less discolouration on my face and the dry areas I used to have are gone. Skincere also have an eye cream, day cream, night cream and facial serum in their range all available at Holland and Barrett . When used together I imagine you would get great results. The scent of this product is minimal and fresh being fragrance free. It is great at removing all traces of makeup left on my face leaving my skin clean and fresh. You can even store this product ibn the fridge! I think in the summer this will be so refreshing to cleanse with if its cold.

I love how soft my skin feels after introducing this cleanser into my routine and it is a lot more affordable than cleansers I have used in the past and I have achieved excellent results. Have you ever heard of Skincere?

*I was kindly sent this item free of charge in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own and I was not influenced in any way.

E45 Skin Care - I won a prize!

I recently took part in a giveaway run by Jess for some E45 skin care goodies! And I can’t believe that I actually won! I never win anything!

The prize was to win a bottle of E45 Moisturising Lotion and two of the E45 Overnight Repair & Protect Hand Creams.

As an eczema sufferer myself, I have always been familiar with E45 lotions and I have tried out many of their products however these 2 were completely new to me.

The colder weather has been playing havoc with my skin, and I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night because I’m scratching at my legs so these couldn’t have come at a better time.

The first item I received was the E45 Moisturising Lotion. I have been using this product every day since receiving it and love what it has been doing for me. I no longer wake up scratching my legs, and although there is no physical difference in the texture, my legs must be a lot more hydrated. The best thing about this is that it is perfume free and can be used all over the body. I can see this being a staple item for me in the coming months.

The second product I received was the E45 Repair & Protect Overnight Hand Cream. I have been using this just before I go to bed and letting it do its magic overnight. This cream is also non-perfumed and really nice to use. It's not sticky and after only using this for a couple of weeks, I have already noticed a difference in my hands, they feel a lot smoother and I can also see this being a great product to have over winter.

Ren Skincare Review

On Sunday I was advised by my good friend Kelly that Ren Clean Skincare had a good offer on their website, and I can't resist an offer. They were offering a 10% off your first order, 4 free samples with every order and by entering a code I would also get '6 of the best' products worth £20.

I thought seeing as I had a day off work I would try all of the products out and write up a review.

Ren products are completely clean and free from any synthetic products, fragrances and any pore blocking products, which sounded perfect to me as I hate putting heavy products on my face so my skin can't breath.

With my initial purchase, I bought the Pro-Vitamin Conditioner, mainly because it was the cheapest product and I wanted the freebies, but also because I have long thick hair I could always use a conditioner.

Upon first impressions I wasn't a huge fan of the smell. It smells of citrus and lavender, which reminds me of citronella that you attract flies with, but that's just my opinion. This conditioner comes in a small 100ml bottle however it is very concentrated and you don't need much. This left my hair feeling smooth, shiny, easy to brush and most importantly clean. I love it! The Sample products I chose were the Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15, Invisible Pores Detox Mask, T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid and the Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel.

The Photo-Active Sun Veil protects your skin from the sun and helps to give your complexion a radiant finish. Smells just like suncream, is non greasy and leaves no white residue on your face. It's not exactly sunny at the moment so I haven't worn it outside but I will be using this on holiday.

The Invisible Pores Detox Mask was probably my favourite thing out of the samples I received. Initially I wasn't a huge fan of the smell, but the texture of this mask was really nice and thick almost like clay. After using this my skin felt amazingly soft and CLEAN, these products really do make you feel fully refreshed. I am tempted to buy the full size version of this.
The T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid claims to leave skin clear and healthy and this is the exact reaction I had. Less is more with this product, as the first time I used it my skin felt a little oily, but if you use a really small amount it works wonders. Only downside is that it smells a bit citronella-y.

The Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel is great to quickly pop on before a shower then rinse off after a few minutes. It's very lightweight and removes all the dirt from the skin. I think I will use this up very quickly.

I was then lucky enough to receive the '6 of the best' products in a little box which says this is a weeks supply. I haven't used any of these because I want to spend some time using them all, unfortunately one of the products (The Mayblossom Balancing Cleansing Gel) came with the top of the tube broken and it had all spilled out so I may not be able to try that one out.

EDIT: Ren have since sent me a replacement pack for the above - fantastic customer service! Thanks Ren!

Look out for a future review on these 6 products, and in the meantime, please check out Ren Skincare for yourself :)
