Ozeri WeightMaster II Digital Bathroom Scale Review*

I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Ozeri Weightmaster scales and seeing as I got on so well with the pedometer (which I donated to my Nanny as she wanted one!) I thought I would try them out.

You can buy the scales here on Amazon for just £29.99 plus shipping and to me, they are just as good as the more expensive scales I have used in the past.

These scales were really easy to set up and add myself as a user. The scales can hold up to 8 unique users which is fantastic if you have a larger family.

My favourite aspect of these scales is the colour changing LCD screen. Once you have set yourself up on the scales, they will remember your 'profile'. Every time you weigh yourself the colour will represent how you got on, so green for a loss and red for a gain. I like this as it motivates me to keep the screen green! The scales hold a record for your weight change for up to 30 recorded weights, so you can really see how the numbers are changing overall. These scales also display your BMI if you want to keep a check on that.

The only downside to these scales is the fact they only display pounds or kilograms, and I would have liked a stones option but it's easy enough to convert manually.

Your Dreamcatcher - New Clothing Review*

When given the chance to once again work with the brand Your Dreamcatcher, I couldn't turn the opportunity down. As you may have seen here on my previous review, this is a brand that I have great admiration for and loved the product I was sent previously.

Once again I was extremely impressed with the prompt delivery of my item, and the care that has gone into the packaging. I really love the quotes that appear on the business cards, such a nice touch.

I was lucky enough to receive an item from their new Pretty in Pink range, and chose the loose fitting t-shirt priced at just £12. I absolutely love the scooped neckline on this t-shirt and it can be worn off the shoulder or normally. Now that the weather is warming up, I find this t-shirt perfect, and the fact that it isn't clingy means even if it's really hot you won't feel like you're sticking to the clothes.

This t-shirt is 100% cotton and feels incredibly soft. Although this t-shirt is made to be loose fitting, it is slightly more fitted at the hips which I love! Just a note on the vest top I previously reviewed around 6 months ago - the logo is still clear, and I have experienced no shrinkage or colour changes so the clothes are definitely reliable.

From my experience, the clothing is true to size and fits well. The logo is less prominent on the T-shirt compared to the vest and is small but effective.

They also have a lovely jewellery range containing some really unique and dainty pieces which is worth checking out. I absolutely adore the look of the anklets, I feel it would be perfect to wear during festival season don't you agree?

Overall, I am really impressed by this brand once again and I and urge you to check them out. For beautiful, affordable & comfortable clothing, Your Dreamcatcher will not let you down. The website and links can be found below.

Book Review: I was here - Gayle Forman.*

I was recently given the opportunity to read ‘I was here’ from award-winning, bestselling author, Gayle Forman. and from reading the blurb I thought this sounded like the sort of book I would like to read.

This book comes under the Young Adult category but can be enjoyed at any age, and I especially enjoyed reading this book aged 24. I find young adult fiction is so easy to read and to get into and also relate to. I found this incredibly easy to put down and pick back up again without feeling like I needed to re-read the last few pages to get back on track.

The cover of this book is modern and reminds me of an Instagram collage. I think the cover is very pleasing to the eye and something I would personally pick up and look at. This is reminiscent of Forman's other titles.

The plot centres around Cody coming to terms with the suicide of her best friend Meg. Cody thought she knew everything about Meg so to discover this has happened only intensifies her grief and leaves her with many unanswered questions. Cody then uncovers deleted emails and encrypted files on Meg’s computer and sets out to determine the truth behind her friend’s suicide and decision to die whilst also finding out about a whole other life Meg has been living.

Suicide is a very sensitive topic and I believe Forman has written about this very well and what affect this has on the people left behind. The plot covers heartbreak, romance and the changing and growing of many relationships and some really good character development which I could completely relate to. The book is what I can only describe as real. The way Forman has executed her writing makes this book really believable and I even found myself mourning Meg’s death by the end of it.

This is the first Gayle Forman book I have read and I am left wanting to pick up other titles. I was kept on the edge of my seat and I am still left wanting to read even more.

I Was Here by Gayle Forman is out today and you can purchase this on amazon here

Healthy Smoothie Recipes! – Featuring Matcha Green Tea Powder*

It’s the first Monday of the new year, and I don’t know about you but today is the day that my diet officially re-starts. After a few unsightly weight gains over the past few weeks, I am definitely ready to get back on track.
One thing I love to drink to get me feeling healthy and refreshed is a good old smoothie. I have many favourites, but thought I would share with you a couple of the ones I love best.
Firstly, I would just like to mention the fact that I freeze most of my fruit. This is just so it lasts longer and I always have some in the freezer for when I want to make a quick smoothie, it’s all chopped and prepared.
For this smoothie I used pineapple, mango, banana, kale and one teaspoon of Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder topped up with water.
The Matcha provides 4 to 6 hours of mild steady energy as it acts as both a stimulant and a relaxant. This is ideal for focusing on whatever the day throws your way. I love using this in smoothies that I drink on the way to the gym as it gives me that boost that I need to keep pushing through my workout.

You can also use 1 teaspoon of the Organic Matcha in a mug of boiling water to create the perfect Green Tea with amazing benefits and up to 137x the antioxidants of brewed green tea. I love how green this is - know what I mean? This tastes stronger than standard Green Tea I have tried in the past, but this isn't bitter and goes down really nicely.

Another smoothie I love is a berry themed smoothie so I will use whatever berries I can get my hands on. On this occasion I used frozen blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. To make this a bit creamier I added some natural fat free yoghurt and some water.

Blueberries contain antioxidants and give you a good dose of vitamin C. In my opinion, this smoothie is great for a hangover.

The organic matcha green tea powder can also be used for baking, I'd love to know if any of you guys have tried this and what you suggest I could use this for.

Please let me know if you’re interested in these types of posts, and I will continue to do them.
Matcha Green Tea Powder is available from Amazon here for £18.00 for 113g or you can visit the below links.

Dragonfly Tea*

I was recently lucky enough to try a range of teas from the company Dragonfly Tea. As a massive tea lover, I couldn't wait to try some new flavours. I love discovering new teas and I am yet to find one that I don't like!

Dragonfly Tea Review

I was very kindly sent 4 flavours to try out and me being me of course, I wanted to try them all at once. I have since been taking these to work and having at least 3 cups a day replacing my usual cuppa and therefore reducing the amount of milk/calories I have been consuming. Win!

Dragonfly Tea Review

The first tea I tried was the Moroccan Mint Green Tea. I love green tea and I've never tried a mint flavoured one so this was an experience for my taste-buds. The tea tasted really refreshing and the mint wasn't overpowering. I allowed the teabag to infuse for 2 minutes to really make the most of the flavours.

The second tea I tried was the Emerald Mountain Green Tea. Again this was really nice. I really like how the teabags have little quotes on the tags, as you can see above. I think that's a really lovely touch and encourages me to drink more because I want to read all of them.

Dragonfly Tea Review

I also tried the Swirling Mist organic white tea. I've never had a white tea before so I didn't know what to expect. The Dragonfly tea website states "White tea works well with chocolate based recipes such as brownies, cakes or biscuits"I didn't need to be told twice! I have been drinking this alongside a bar of dark chocolate and the two go hand in hand with each other. This tea is smooth and goes down really nicely and has a slight nutty flavour which is really different to anything I have tried before.

Dragonfly Tea Review

My favourite tea of the lot was the Indian Spice Chai black tea. this is the only tea that I drank with milk and is perfect for this time of year. The aromatic spices (Black Tea, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Ginger, Cloves, Black Pepper and Cassia Oil) combine perfectly to create the perfect tea for the colder months, and makes me feel super Christmassy!

On that note, I think I fancy a cuppa! If you like the look of these teas, or would like to see what else Dragonfly tea has on offer, please visit their website here.

Ozeri Sport 4x3 Pedometer Review*

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a pedometer from the Ozeri range so I picked the Ozeri 4x3Sport Pocket Pedometer, which you can buy here for just £19.99. It comes in 3 colours; grey (as pictured) yellow or red.

The design is sleek and modern and the display is very easy to read and understand. The pedometer comes with an instruction booklet which I recommend you read as it did take me a while to figure out how to turn it on, and I could have avoided the confusion by reading the booklet - silly me!

Set up on the other hand was very simple and I followed the step by step guide. The display also shows the time which I think is really handy and you don't often get this with your standard pedometers.

Ozeri Sport Pedometer

This pedometer can count up to 1 million steps and has a 30 day memory so you can see what you've done throughout the month. The Ozeri Pedometer easily clips onto a belt or a waistband and is barely noticeable. I wear mine at work clipped onto my belt.

Ozeri Sport Pedometer

When it comes to accuracy, I think if you correctly work out the length of your stride and input this in accordingly then the pedometer is fairly accurate. I had mine set up wrong at first as I guesstimated but once I corrected it, I noticed a difference. I compared the distance in Km reading to the distance traveled by working it out on a GPS and it was pretty much spot on.

Ozeri Sport Pedometer

The Ozeri Sport Pedometer also comes with a lanyard, I find this great for attaching it to myself in the gym so it doesn't fly off. The feature of having a sports timer is also valuable for gym workouts.

Overall I think this is a great product if you're looking at tracking steps and it can really keep you motivated seeing how far you've gone. It's great fun setting yourself challenges and trying to complete your goals. You could even get your friend one too so that you can challenge each other.

Snapfish Calendar Review - Ideal Personalised Christmas Present*

Every year for Christmas my mum ALWAYS asks me to buy her a calendar so when Snapfish offered me the chance to create a personalised calendar, I jumped at the chance knowing this would be the perfect Christmas present and a lot more personal than your standard shop bought calendars.

Snapfish Calendar Review

What I loved about Snapfish was how easy the website was to navigate. Snapfish offer unlimited free photo storage so I uploaded loads of photos to use in the calendar before I got started.  They have a wide range of personalised photo gifts and there literally is something for everyone.

I went onto the main calendar page on the website here and couldn't believe the available options. Snapfish have 4 available calendar styles in 9 different sizes. I decided on the slimline kitchen calendar for my mum priced at just £9.99. When I clicked on this option, a range of designs came up which can all be customised. On this occasion I simply chose the basic design and got started with adding photos.

Snapfish Calendar Options

The process of creating a calendar couldn't have been simpler. You add your photos to Snapfish and then drag and drop them into the relevant photo areas. There is even an option to auto-fill all photos if you’re in a bit of a rush. You can then edit your photos by cropping them, rotating them and even adding different filters such as black and white.

This is a great size for the kitchen and the photos have been printed at a really high quality.

Once I added the calendar to my basket and checked it all over for any spelling mistakes I decided to create another calendar.

I then designed a calendar for my boyfriend. I decided to go with a slightly larger one and got the 12x12 classic wall calendar  at only £18.99. This process was very similar to the last, however this time I decided to customise the calendars with a chalkboard theme. The great thing about the Classic Wall Calendars is that for no extra charge you can personalise certain days, for example on our anniversary, I added a little photo of the two of us. I think this is a really nice touch and a great way of adding a visual reminder of certain events such as birthdays/holidays.

I then ordered myself a 30”x20” collage poster calendar for £14.99 which was the easiest to create out of all 3. You simply choose your photos (up to 30) and the website fits these into a lovely collage for you. You can then shuffle the photos around, change them, add a featured photo or leave them as they are. You can then customise the colour, I chose pink to match my bedroom or you can even use your own photo for the background. This size is perfect for the back of my bedroom door.

Snapfish Calendar Review

Overall I had a really good experience with Snapfish and will definitely be using them again for personalised photo gifts because the quality and customer service is outstanding. The prices are really good value for money and it means you can give someone a present that is that extra bit special. Delivery was quick however my only gripe is that each calendar came in 3 separate packages which was a bit strange, but I suppose it kept them all separate .

Thank you Snapfish!

Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara Review*

I recently got hold of the Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara and couldn’t wait to tell you all about it!

Firstly, how gorgeous is the packaging? The mascara comes in this lovely sturdy box and just looks so nice.

Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

The kit consists of 2 pieces. Firstly the Transplanting Gel which looks like a normal mascara wand. After applying a normal mascara to my eyelashes, I then use this want to add a layer of the gel onto my lashes ready for stage 2.

Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

The second part is to apply the Natural Fibers to your lashes. This brush is simply a wand with fibers stuck to it. After applying these, I then add another layer of the Transplanting gel, and blast my eyelashes with a hairdryer to remove excess fibers and to set them in place.

Here are my eyelashes with one layer of normal mascara, one layer of Younique Fiber Lash and then a second layer of the fiber lash.

Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

I’ll be honest, I can’t really see much difference between the Younique mascara and my own, and this is a lot more expensive. I found that throughout the day I had fibers on my face, and when I brushed them off I was left with black smears on my cheeks.

You can purchase this mascara direct from here in the UK from November 1st for just $23.00 (excluding p+p) .

Your Dreamcatcher Clothing Review*

I was recently contacted by a company in the name of Your dreamcatcher to see if I wanted to review one of their clothing items, and I jumped at the chance. Just looking on their website I could see that this was a brand I would love.

The clothing range has plenty of options for those of us who love to lounge in comfort, and of course style.

Delivery was really fast and my item was packaged beautifully and included a little business card with a nice quote inside which relates to the brand and how they encourage you to capture and follow your dreams.

I received the white fitted vest which I thought looked really good on the website and had a multiple range of uses. I planned to wear this for working out, and generally lounging around the house but I thought this vest was also nice enough to wear with some jeans too. That's what I love about this brand, you can wear their clothing for any scenario.

The website stated for a looser fit to buy 1-2 sizes bigger so this is what I did so that it wasn’t too tight/ but I wanted quite a slim fit so that it didn’t irritate me when working out. The length is perfect, and sits just beneath my waistband.

This vest is 95% cotton and is really soft and feels really luxurious. It is so comfy, I was happy to wear this around the house and whilst doing daily chores.  The logo is a dreamcatcher with the company name around it which I think is really stylish and funky. It is also of a good quality, I love that it’s so prominent as well!

They also have a range of really beautiful handmade jewellery featuring dreamcatcher charms and it’s very reasonably priced. I have my eye on the anklet! I also think some of my friends would love the jewellery range, and Christmas isn’t far away now!

Overall, I am really impressed by this brand and urge you to check them out! The website and links can be found below :).
